American Express are making major changes to their Premier Rewards Gold card and we want to make sure you are aware of how this will impact you.

First of all, it has been renamed to American Express(R) Gold Card. With the new name, you also have an opportunity to request a new limited edition metal card in rose or gold. It’s only available until January 9, 2019 and you call the number on the back of your card to request it.

Several exciting new benefits have been added to the existing rewards available, including:

  • 4X Membership Rewards(R) points at U.S. Restaurants
  • 4X Membership Rewards(R) points at U.S. Supermarkets
  • Opportunity to enroll in the $120 Dining Credit to receive $10 per month in statement credits when using your Card at participating partners.

Most of your existing rewards will still be available, but the 2X points at U.S. Gas Station reward will be removed next year, on 10/4/19. There will also be a change in the annual fee, it will now be $250, this will be upon your renewal date on or after 4/1/19.

These are very positive changes, adding additional value to the already great benefits that American Express are known for. Don’t forget to add your American Express(R) Gold Card to your list of cards and memberships in your UseMyBenefits.com account, to keep track of all your existing and new rewards as they become available.
